Preparing the Roman Blind for Washing

The blind is attached to the headrail with hook-and-loop tape, which allows the fabric to be removed for washing.

To wash the blind:

  1. Fully lower the blind.
  2. (Optional) The blind can be removed from the mounting brackets and laid flat on a table or floor – this is not necessary.
  3. Untie the cords or detach them from the bottom cord connectors (acorns).
  4. Remove the horizontal support rods.
  5. Detach the fabric from the headrail/track (hook-and-loop tape).

To remove the horizontal support rods, locate the opening near the edge of the blind (the unstitched section left for this purpose) and slide each rod out through the opening.

Nach dem Waschen und Bügeln des Raffrollos:

Reattach the fabric to the headrail track.
  1. Reattach the fabric to the headrail/track.
  2. Insert the horizontal support rods.
  3. Thread the cords back through the rings, even them out and tie them at the bottom or reattach the cord connectors.
  4. Reinstall the blind onto the mounting brackets.

Our tip!

Before unthreading the cords, take a photo of the cord arrangement.

This will help you rethread the cords correctly after washing.
